Made with a heritage starter, filtered water, and premium flour. Slow-fermented and baked to perfection—crispy crust, soft center, heavenly taste.
I carry with me treasured memories from childhood—watching my mother mix dough and bake
fresh loaves for our family each week. My siblings and I would gather in the kitchen, wide-eyed
with anticipation as she shaped the dough and slid it into the oven. The smell alone was enough
to drive us wild! But even after baking, the hardest part came next: waiting. The cooling process
felt endless as we stared at the warm, golden loaf, stomachs growling.
Finally, when the moment came, she’d slice us thick pieces of warm, soft bread and smother
them with butter. Nothing in the world tasted better.
Fast-forward to today—I’m a full-time construction worker, but I’ve found a new joy in baking
sourdough. It took me about 20 tries to get it just right: the proofing, the scoring, the bake. Once
I found my rhythm, I began giving loaves away to friends and family. The response?
Overwhelming. People loved it.
That’s how Mark’s Manna was born.
As a follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I wanted this bread to be more than just good
food—I wanted it to be a reflection of the blessings He pours out on us. The name Mark’s
Manna is a nod to the manna God provided the Israelites in the wilderness—a daily, heavenly
provision. And in the same way, every loaf I bake is a reminder of how every good thing we
receive is ultimately from Him.
You’ll find Matthew 4:4 on every bag:
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth
of God.”

To me, that verse is a powerful reminder of what really sustains us.
This might just be a humble bread business, but I believe it can be more. If God opens doors, I’d
love to supply fresh, homemade sourdough to my community—and do it in a way that honors
Him.
After all, Jesus Himself said, “I am the Bread of Life.”
What better way to share His goodness than through something as simple, timeless, and
nourishing as bread?
Every loaf of Mark’s Manna is made with love, gratitude, and a desire to share the Good
News—one slice at a time.
Each loaf of Mark’s Manna is handmade using just a few simple ingredients: flour, water, and
salt. No commercial yeast. No additives. Just naturally fermented sourdough, full of flavor and
character.
Every loaf is:
● Hand-mixed
● Hand-shaped
● Scored with care to create unique designs and a beautiful, crisp “ear”
● Baked to develop a soft, airy interior and a chewy, flavorful crust
I love the slight sour note in the aftertaste—balanced, not overpowering—and how it lingers in a
creamy, comforting way. This bread shines fresh out of the oven, but it’s also incredible grilled or
pan-fried in butter.

Each one is made with filtered RO water and thoughtfully chosen flours—still experimenting to
find the perfect mix, whether that’s organic, bread flour, or unbleached all-purpose.
The starter I use has a special story too—supposedly it’s from a 900-year-old lineage that’s
been continuously “fed” and kept alive. Who knows how true that is, but I like the legacy behind
it. Every time I start a new batch, it’s like continuing a tradition passed down through
generations.
